Lawrence County has officially proclaimed May 11 as “Bo’s Blessings Day” in honor of Bo Yocom, who passed away on May 11, 2025, at the age of six.

According to the proclamation signed by County Executive David Morgan, Bo was remembered for his kindness, generous spirit, and love for helping others throughout Lawrence County. Officials noted Bo especially enjoyed helping his mother, Ashley Hagan, place food in local Blessing Boxes to serve those in need.

Following Bo’s passing, Ashley created “Bo’s Blessings” to continue sharing God’s love through Blessing Boxes, outreach efforts, and acts of kindness across the county.

The proclamation also recognizes the volunteers, donors, and supporters who help fill and maintain Blessing Boxes and assist with outreach efforts throughout Lawrence County.

County officials encouraged residents to continue supporting Bo’s Blessings and the compassion and generosity the ministry represents.
