Dennis Lee Phillips, 65, of Florence, AL, passed away at his residence on May 10, 2026. Dennis was a commercial truck driver for Great Southern Wood Preserving and was of the Christian faith.

Dennis is survived by:

Wife: Mildred Kilburn Phillips

Daughters: Kayla Passarella (John) & Kimberly Russell (Shayne)

Brothers: Bobby “Little Bob” Phillips (Nikki), Keith Phillips (Jaimee), and Jamie Phillips

Sisters: Sandra “Sandi” Grigsby (Jeff) & Mandy Moore

(4) Grandchildren

He was preceded in death by:

Parents: Loyd “Buddy” Phillips and Peggy Jean Atwell Phillips

Brother: Ricky Phillips

Grandparents: Arthur & Audie Phillips and Casey & Frances Atwell

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. at Greenhill Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 12:30 P.M. at St. Michael’s Cemetery in St. Florian, AL with Bro. Gregg Woodard officiating. The burial will follow the service in St. Michael’s Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Wayne Phillips, Brandon Phillips, Brandon Handley, Christian Handley, John Passarella, and Shayne Russell. Honorary pallbearers will be Peyton Handley, Grayson Handley, Jeff Grigsby, and Joe Kilburn.

Greenhill Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
