Giles Authorities Warn of Increase in Thefts

The Giles County Sheriff’s Department is urging the public to secure valuables due to an uptick in thefts in recent weeks.  Criminals look for easy access to high value items, so they urge residents to lock things away out of sight.  During the past several weeks they have experienced an increase in the number of thefts, including bicycles, electric scooters, lawnmowers, weed eaters, leaf blowers, chainsaws, trailers, four wheelers, and motorcycles.  They are also urging residents who have security cameras to make sure that they are working order.
