Locals Participate in National Day of Prayer

A crowd gathered on the steps of the Lawrence County Courthouse Thursday at noon to take part in the 2026 National Day of Prayer observance.   Started by Reverend Billy Graham in 1952, the National Day of Prayer is observed annually on the first Thursday in May, allowing an opportunity for people to focus on God in meditation and prayer.  The local observance was led by County Executive David Morgan. Speakers included numerous local pastors and religious leaders.
