In Loving Memory
Larry Wayne Dickson
September 28, 1951 – May 5, 2026
Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, treasured brother, uncle, and friend. He dearly loved children and often joked that he wanted to have 14 kids, but upon hearing that, his wife Ruby told him in no uncertain terms that he would need to find an Amish wife because two were enough. As she says, “God answered my prayers.”
Larry was born in Lawrence County, TN, and raised in Ethridge, TN, where he lived throughout his life. He had a deep love for the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and working in the woods. He retired from Murray Ohio Mfg. after more than 33 years of dedicated service. He was loved by almost everyone who met him. Larry also cherished the times he got to visit the casino and always looked forward to his next trip.
Predeceased By: Larry will reconnect with his predeceased loved ones: his mother, Myrtle Brock Dickson; his father, Henry Dickson; his brothers, Robert, Frankie Sr., Steve, and Kenneth Odel; and his sisters, Orean and Beulah.
Survived By: Larry is survived by his wife of over 53 years, Ruby Nell Scott Dickson; his son, Kenneth Wayne (Christy); his daughter, Monica Dickson Norman (Randall); three grandchildren: Dylan, Lashaylee, and Emmaleigh; three adopted grandchildren: Trista, Kaylee, and Calvin; three sisters: Linda D. Yates, Vicky D. Cummings, and Donna D. Corbin-Wesson; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
