THP Announces Sobriety Checkpoints for May 8

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has announced upcoming sobriety checkpoints in the area for Friday, May 8.

In Lawrence County, a checkpoint will be held on State Route 98 at the 5.5 mile marker.

In Lincoln County, a checkpoint is planned on State Route 50 at the 15.8 mile marker.

Officials say the checkpoints are part of ongoing efforts to promote roadway safety and reduce impaired driving.
