Outstanding Students Recognized at Lawrenceburg Rotary

The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club recognized outstanding high school students and announced its annual scholarship recipients during its regular meeting on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Lawrenceburg Rotary Park.  Rotarian Bob Augustin presented the Rotary Scholarship Awards, highlighting the club’s continued commitment to supporting academic excellence and community leadership. Club President Maria Santini assisted by formally presenting the awards to the recipients.

Scholarships awarded by the club include the Excellence, Legacy, Fellowship, and Service Scholarships, each designed to honor students who demonstrate achievement, character, and a dedication to serving others.  Scholarships awarded were:

Excellence ($1500): Breleigh Winters, Loretto High School

Legacy ($1000): Anna Kate Cheatham, Loretto High School

Fellowship ($750): Aubrey Suratt, Loretto High School

Fellowship ($750): Andrew Mabry, Summertown High School

Service ($500): Kaden Pennington, Loretto High School

Service ($500): Jonathan Boyd, Lawrence County High School

Service ($500): Emma Tidwell, Lawrence County High School

Service ($500): Jaden Aaron, Loretto High School

Service ($500): Taylor Schuelke, Lawrence County High School

During the program, Rotarian Augustin noted that Rotary scholarships are awarded not only for academic performance but also for leadership, integrity, and a demonstrated commitment to community service—values that align closely with Rotary’s mission. President Santini congratulated each of the students and expressed appreciation for their hard work and future potential. She emphasized the importance of investing in young leaders who will shape the future of Lawrence County and beyond.
