Firefighters Rescue Trapped Patient in Leoma Area Crash

Emergency crews responded to a crash with entrapment Tuesday night, April 28 in the Leoma Fire District.

According to Lawrence County Fire & Rescue, units were dispatched around 9:00 PM to a motor vehicle crash with reported injuries. First responders found two patients at the scene, with one person able to get out of the vehicle and the second still trapped.

Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to remove a door and reach the trapped patient. Lawrence County EMS provided medical care and transported those involved.

Officials say that during the incident, additional units were also dispatched to assist with a commercial structure fire in the City of Lawrenceburg.

Responding stations to the crash included Leoma, Center Point, and Gandy.
