EMR Students Complete Program with Emergency Services Field Trip

Students in the Spring 2026 Emergency Medical Responder program from Loretto and Summertown High Schools wrapped up their semester with a hands-on field trip to local emergency service agencies.

According to Lawrence County EMS, students visited the Jason Dickey Fire Training Center, where they learned about vehicle extrication and firefighting operations.

The group also toured Lawrence County E-911 to learn about the role of dispatchers, and visited the Air Evac Lifeteam base in Lawrenceburg to explore air medical transport and critical care services.

Officials say the field trip provided students with real-world experience to complement what they learned in the classroom.
