Florence Police Pursuit Ends in Crash, Arrest

A police chase in Florence Thursday resulted in the arrest of Drew Bonner.  Officers with the Florence Police Department had attempted to conduct at stop on a vehicle displaying an outdated license plate when the driver failed to stop and fled the scene.  During the pursuit Bonner reportedly struck another vehicle before crashing into a parked utility truck.  He was booked at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on charges of attempting to elude authorities, leaving the scene of an accident with injury, second degree assault, and numerous traffic infractions.
