THP Announces April 24 Sobriety Checkpoints

The Tennessee Highway Patrol has announced sobriety checkpoints scheduled for Friday, April 24.

In Lawrence County, troopers will conduct a checkpoint on U.S. Highway 43 South at the 2.9 mile marker.

In Giles County, a checkpoint is planned on U.S. Highway 31 at the 14 mile marker.

In Perry County, a checkpoint will be held on State Route 13 South approximately 0.4 miles north of the 11 mile marker.

In Bedford County, a checkpoint will be conducted on State Route 64 (Wartrace Pike) approximately six miles east of the 15 mile marker.

Officials say the checkpoints are part of ongoing efforts to promote highway safety and reduce impaired driving.
