Mary Ann Hollman Ihrie, age 81, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, TN. She was a native of Loretto, TN, a teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic School, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Lawrenceburg. Mrs. Ihrie loved teaching children how to read, spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, baking, gardening, and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hugh Ihrie; her parents, Chris and Rita King Hollman; one sister, Elaine Benes; one brother, Arthur “Bud” Hollman; and one brother–in–law, Jennings Holt.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann Ihrie Norwood (Casey) of Collierville, TN and Beth Ihrie Reed (Chip) of Birmingham, AL; two sons, Patrick Ihrie (Shannon) of Murfreesboro, TN and John Ihrie (Martine Ferguson) of Odenton, MD; three brothers, Joe (Clara), John, and Dan Hollman all of Loretto, TN; three sisters, Therese Carter and Lorrie Holt both of Loretto, TN and Elizabeth Hutchings (Donald) of Decatur, AL; two brothers–in–law, Mike Benes of Chicago, IL and Ron Ihrie (Sue) of Nashville, TN; ten grandchildren, Sam, Claire, and Ryan Norwood; Margo Ihrie; Ruthie, Owen, Bennett, Jake, Matty, and Max Reed; many nieces, nephews, great–nieces, and great- nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Tuesday, April 21, 2026, with a rosary at 7:00 PM at Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The family will also receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at Loretto Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with Father Daniel Steiner officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN. The family suggests memorials be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School and Church of Lawrenceburg.
