Barbara Jane Morgan

Barbara Jane Morgan, age 79, of Summertown, TN passed away April 17, 2026 at NHC Healthcare Pulaski. She was a native of Lawrence County, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, and of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed playing bingo, shuffleboard, and listening to music. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Wade and Mandy Jane Hill Caperton; her husband, Jerry Morgan; four sisters, Pauline Hall, Susie Gay, Laura Caperton, Mary Frances Eilertson; and two brothers, Buddy and Leroy Caperton. 

She is survived by two daughters, Melissa Darnell (Tim) of Summertown, TN and Sue Moore (Dana) of NC; seven grandchildren, Mary Ashlin Haygood (Justin) of Summertown, TN, Emma Darnell of Chattanooga, TN, Brycen, Michael, Conner, Malachi, and Austin Moore all of NC; three great–grandchildren, Sawyer, Payton, and Riley Haygood all of Summertown, TN; one sister, Linda Brown of Loretto, TN; two brothers, Robert Caperton of Lawrenceburg, TN and Kenny Caperton (Cindy) of SC. 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at Mt. Horeb Cemetery at 2:00 PM Monday, April 20, 2026, with Ray Luffman officiating. Condolences may be sent by way of our website at
