Fire Cadets Complete Training at Jason Dickey Memorial Center

Lawrence County Fire & Rescue says a group of cadets has completed an 80-hour training course at the Jason Dickey Memorial Training Center.

Officials say the class concluded Monday night, allowing the students to begin responding to emergency calls at the operations level.

The next step for the cadets will be a Live Fire training class scheduled to begin in May, which will certify them as interior firefighters.

Fire officials say the training is part of the department’s minimum standards and is designed to provide a strong foundation for future service.

The department also recognized instructors from Lawrence County Fire Rescue and the Lawrenceburg Fire Department for their role in training recruits from across the county.

Officials congratulated the cadets, noting their hard work and dedication throughout the course.
