Deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals Tuesday, April 7 while attempting to serve an arrest warrant at a residence on Bumpass Road in Lawrenceburg.

According to a press release, deputies were searching multiple trailers and outbuildings on the property for Leonard Newton when they encountered Jennifer Frost.

Authorities say Frost had previously pleaded guilty to aggravated animal cruelty and, as part of her plea agreement, was prohibited from possessing companion animals. Deputies discovered four dogs inside a camper, reportedly living in extremely filthy conditions without water.

Frost was charged with aggravated animal cruelty and taken to the Lawrence County Jail. She is being held on a $20,000 bond. The dogs were transported to the Lawrence County/Lawrenceburg City Animal Shelter.

Officials say Newton was later found hiding under a blanket inside one of the campers. He was charged with a probation revocation warrant and evading arrest. Newton was transported to the county jail, where he is being held without bond.
