Spring Hill Sets Minimum Age for E-Bikes

Beginning July 1, a law will become effective in the City of Spring Hill, implementing a minimum age for the operation of a Class 3 e-bike.  The current minimum age for operation is set at 14, however that will increase to 16 on July 1.  A Class 3 e-bike is one that is equipped with a motor that provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling and ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches a speed of 28 miles per hour.
