Vernie I. Belew

On April 11, 2026, Vernie I. Belew went to be with her Lord and Savior. Vernie was retired from Murray Ohio Mfg. She enjoyed cooking for her family, tending her garden, and spending time in worship and prayer. Her faith in God guided her life and brought her great comfort. Vernie will be forever remembered for her gentle spirit and the love of God she shared with those around her. 

Vernie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond J. Belew; parents, Olon and Adell Shelton Isbell; six brothers; and one sister. 

Vernie is survived by one daughter, Stephanie Todora (Paul) of Athens AL; one granddaughter, Hanna Haislip of Heber City, UT; two sisters, Judy Faulkner and Mary Mills (Glenn) both of Florence, AL; and one brother, Tommy Isbell (Betsy) of Columbia TN. 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Monday, April 13, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 12:00 PM Monday, April 13, 2026, with Joe Isbell officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
