Lawrenceburg City Council Approves All Agenda Items in Brief Meeting

The Lawrenceburg City Council met Thursday morning, April 9, in a meeting that lasted just under 20 minutes, with all agenda items approved.

Council members approved Ordinance 1450 on second reading, repealing a previous ordinance and municipal code section related to the Lawrenceburg Municipal Auditorium, including a $30 per day non-refundable reservation fee.

Ordinance 1451 was also approved on second reading, establishing regulations for sober living homes within the city, including registration, certification, and operational requirements in accordance with state law.

On first reading, the council approved Ordinance 1452, which proposes rezoning property located on the north side of Second Street and west side of First Avenue from R-3 Residential District to C-3 Commercial District.

In addition to the ordinances, the council approved resolutions to enter into an addendum to a lease agreement with the Rotary Club of Lawrenceburg and to purchase a 2026 F-450 chassis truck from Lonnie Cobb Ford of Henderson.
