Giles County Fire & Rescue responded to a reported explosion with heavy smoke around 4:00 PM Friday, April 3 in the York Hollow Road area.
While en route, crews were advised the incident involved a structure fire. Upon arrival, units found two garages fully engulfed, with surrounding grass and woods also on fire as strong winds pushed the flames.
Firefighters remained on the scene for approximately four hours working to contain the fire. Both structures were reported as a total loss. No injuries were reported.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene, including Giles County EMS, the Giles County Sheriff’s Office, Pulaski Fire Department, Minor Hill Fire Department, the Giles County Rehab Unit, Giles County Office of Emergency Management, and Giles County E911.
