Hazel Green Student Charged With Firearm on Campus

Madison County Sheriff’s Office completed an investigation into allegations that a potential weapon was brought onto the campus of Hazel Green High School on Thursday.  An anonymous tip indicated a student was in possession of a firearm with a Glock switch that was kept inside a vehicle.  When the vehicle was searched, they found an AR-style Airsoft pellet rifle, and various parts and ammo for the pistol, along with a machine conversion device.  The student was charged with possession of a firearm and possession of a machine conversion device.  Additional charges are expected.
