Lawrence County Fire Rescue crews stayed busy Tuesday afternoon while simultaneously conducting training and responding to multiple emergency calls across the county.
According to a social media post from the department, the 64-hour portion of its recruit class was underway at the Jason Dickey Memorial Training Center.
During a roughly three-and-a-half-hour span, crews responded to a cardiac arrest, a brush fire, and a motor vehicle crash that required extrication, with personnel establishing a landing zone for a medical helicopter as part of that response.
