The Mars Hill Community Club is encouraging Lawrenceburg residents to bring recyclable materials to a designated bin located at the club throughout the month of April.
The club, located on Weakley Creek Road, has placed a recycling bin on site and is inviting the public to use it as part of an effort to help keep the community clean and green.
Accepted items include paper such as magazines, junk mail, and newspapers; cardboard including cereal boxes, shoe boxes, and flattened cardboard; plastics such as water and soda bottles, milk jugs, detergent bottles, and juice bottles; and metal cans including aluminum beverage cans and steel food cans.
Organizers remind residents that all items must be bagged, with the exception of flattened cardboard, and should be empty, clean, and free of food residue.
