Lawrenceburg, Tennessee — Clatis “Glendora” Perry (née Clark), a devoted wife, nurturing mother, and loving “Granny,” passed away peacefully at her home on March 27, 2026, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on September 14, 1935, in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, to the late Herbert and Ruth Clatis Phillips Clark, Glendora was lovingly raised by her grandparents. In 1952, she married her high school sweetheart, J.B. Perry Jr. Together, they shared 65 devoted years of marriage before his passing in 2017.
Glendora dedicated her life to creating a serene, warm, and welcoming home. A true homemaker at heart, she was an excellent cook— especially known for her pies, cakes, and “tiny tender biscuits”—as well as a talented seamstress, resourceful gardener and creative crafter. Generous with both her heart and her talents, she nurtured her family and community with meals that nourished the soul and handmade treasures shared with many. Glendora found her voice as a young girl and carried a lifelong passion for song, finding her greatest joy in the harmony of singing gospel music.
Glendora was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, where she held active roles in the United Methodist Women, Congregational Care, Vacation Bible School, and various special events. She was a charter member of the Red Hill Home Demonstration Club (later the Family and Community Education Club) and served her community through Meals on Wheels. In addition to her volunteer work, Glendora successfully owned and operated her own fabric shop for several years.
She is survived by her three children: Dani (Larry) Johnson, Karen (Robert) Hayes, and Beth (Paul) McKee; her cherished grandchildren: Megan, Zachary, Joe, Rachel, and Caleb; and her eight great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.B.; her sister, Gena Pope; her brother, James Olen Clark; her parents; and her loving grandparents, James and Molly Sue Phillips.
The family extends a special thank you to the devoted caregivers who made it possible for Glendora to remain in her home—her deepest desire. Their care, support, and love made a profound impact on her final years.
Service Information: The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Neal Funeral Home. A celebration of Glendora’s life will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Tommy Flood and Rev. David Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Arrangements: Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Donate Life America (donatelife.net) or Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt (childrenshospitalvanderbilt.org).
