Limestone Couple Arrested for Child Abuse and Neglect

Two arrests were made through the Limestone County Alabama Sheriff’s Office Wednesday in an investigation involving reported abuse and neglect of a non-verbal child.  The investigation was opened after the department received calls from concerned parties.  The child underwent a medical evaluation for suspected injuries and malnutrition.  As a result Christopher Esslinger and Jessica Esslinger were both arrested on two counts each of torture/willful abuse of a child.  Bond has been set at $100,000 apiece.
