The Lawrenceburg City Council approved all items on its agenda during a meeting Thursday, March 26 that lasted just over an hour.
Council members approved Ordinance 1449, rezoning approximately 23 acres near the intersection of Good Hope Road and U.S. 43 North from commercial to high-density residential. They also approved Ordinance 1450 repealing the municipal auditorium reservation fee and Ordinance 1451 regulating sober living homes within the city limits.
Resolutions approved included annexation of additional property into the city, an audit contract with Matlock Clements Certified Public Accountants, and multiple surplus property declarations within the police, parks and recreation, and planning departments, including donation of lights from Denver Trapp Field to Leoma Elementary School.
Additional approvals included a lease agreement with the Lawrence County Board of Education for the West Highland School gymnasium, an economic impact plan for a proposed Hampton Inn project, and the purchase of 12 mobile laptops for the Lawrenceburg Police Department.
