David Glenn Fulks, born July 17, 1954, in Florence, Alabama, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, love, and a whole lot of unforgettable stories. He was the son of Robert “Bob” Fulks and Inez Fulks of Saint Joseph, Tennessee, who, along with his brothers Henry Lee Fulks and Terrell Fulks, and his beloved wife of 38 years, Teresa (Yeager) Fulks, preceded him in death. No doubt there’s a joyful reunion happening, and if there’s a golf course nearby, David has already claimed a tee time.
David spent many years working hard as a factory worker at Dura Automotive in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, and Goodman Manufacturing in Fayetteville, Tennessee. But if you asked him, his real full-time job was golf—with a side career in storytelling and making friends everywhere he went. A proud member of the Covington Church of Christ, he lived his life with faith, humor, and a generous spirit.
David didn’t just play golf—he lived it. He was a member of more country clubs than most people can name, including Waynesboro Country Club, Lawrenceburg Country Club, Covington Country Club, Dixie Oaks Golf Course, Pulaski Country Club, and Claxbranch Golf Course. His most legendary moment? Making two hole-in-ones in the same nine-hole game at Lawrenceburg Country Club—a feat so impressive it landed him in USA Today. He never let anyone forget it either (and honestly, who could blame him?).
And if he wasn’t out on the golf course, there was a good chance you could find him in a pool hall somewhere, leaning over the table, lining up his next “impossible” shot like it was the final hole at Augusta—calm, focused, and probably smiling because he already knew how it was going to turn out.
When he wasn’t on the golf course or around a pool table, you could find David cheering loudly for University of Tennessee football. Win or lose, he was always all in—Go Vols!
David is survived by his loving daughters, Celena Hicks of Lakeland, Tennessee and her partner Kevin Bruce, and Deanna Sills and her husband Bobby of Boynton Beach, Florida. He was a proud grandfather to Timothy McCord (Victoria Howell) of Covington, Tennessee; Megan McMillen (Steven McMillen) of Millington, Tennessee; Kaitlyn Hughes of Lakeland, Tennessee; Aidan Sills and Ava Sills of Boynton Beach, Florida. He was also blessed with six great-grandchildren: Presley McCord, Danielle Smith, Hazel Brooks, Rayleigh McMillen, NovaLee McCord, and Bellamy Duncan.
He also leaves behind a long list of best friends and golf buddies—Tim Purser, Eddie Landtroop, Nikki Hartsfield, Randy Flatt, Stephen Roberson (“Joker”), Richard Brewer, Deshawn Tidwell, Shane Luker, Jerry Hicks, and many more. Truth be told, David never met a stranger—just friends he hadn’t talked into playing a round of golf yet.
David will be remembered for his quick wit, his big heart, and his ability to turn any ordinary day into a good story. He loved deeply, laughed often, and left a mark on everyone lucky enough to know him.
In honor of David, you might consider hitting a golf ball a little farther, telling a story a little louder, maybe sinking a long shot on a pool table, and cheering on the Vols just a little harder.
He wouldn’t have it any other way.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday 3/28/2026 at 12:00pm at Loretto Memorial Chapel with Harry Green officiating. Visitation with the family  will be from 10:00am to 12:00pm Saturday 3/28/2026
