Man Arrested in Summertown on Parole Warrant, Drug Charges

A man was taken into custody Monday morning in the Summertown area following a traffic stop.

According to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, deputies stopped a vehicle around 10:00 AM driven by Jonathan Gray, who was known to have an active parole warrant.

Gray was identified at the scene, and a records check confirmed the warrant. He was taken into custody without incident after being asked to exit the vehicle.

During a search of his person, deputies located a loaded firearm concealed in his back pocket.

A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a quantity of cocaine, along with digital scales, plastic baggies, and other items consistent with the packaging and distribution of narcotics.

Gray is currently being held without bond and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
