Carl David Smith

Carl David Smith, age 74, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin, TN. He was a native of Lawrence County, TN, a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church, and retired from Frito–Lay. He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather who loved his family dearly. Anybody that knew him knew that he always put his family first. 

He is preceded in death by parents, Carl and Annie Lou Smith; three brothers, Sonny, Ronnie, and Donnie Smith; and one son, Jason Smith. 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Janice Buie Smith of Lawrenceburg; two daughters, Carla Smith (Jeremy) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Angelica Cline (Jon) of Pulaski, TN; three grandchildren, Jess Williams (Lee) of Stokesdale, NC, Colt Smith (Brooklyn) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Abigail Stallings (Tyler) of Ashland, TN; four great–grandchildren, Harper, Henleigh, and Hyker Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Emmersyn Williams of Stokesdale, NC; two brothers, Roger Smith (Carolyn) of Center Star, AL, and Timmy Smith of Lawrenceburg, TN; two sisters, Joyce Buie (James) of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Rita Bryant of Lawrenceburg, TN; several nieces and nephews. 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 25, 2026, with Wendell White officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
