Janette Peppers Flowers

Janette Peppers Flowers, age 86, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at NHC Healthcare in Lawrenceburg, TN. She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, and a caregiver. Mrs. Flowers loved taking care of home bound elderly, playing the piano, and playing cards and bingo. 

She was preceded in death by her husband; Kenneth Flowers, parents; Horace and Margie Swafford Peppers; one sister, Jane Jennings; and one brother, Don Peppers. 

She is survived by one daughter; Debra Everett (Leon) of Killen, AL; one son, Kenny Mattox (Cathy) of Lawrenceburg, TN; five grandchildren Chad Aaron (Mary) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Keli Alvarez (Russell) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Erika Peterson (Joe) of Pensacola, FL, Ryan Mattox (Jyl) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Drew Mattox (Lauren) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one sister–in–law, Nina Peppers of Nashville, TN, and ten great–grandchildren. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at NHC Healthcare. When it came time that she no longer could stay at home, she was adamant about going back to NHC after previously being there for rehab in the past. They took extra care of her and told her that they loved her all the time. She loved the activities and the staff. They were so loving and attentive. 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 22, 2026, with Kent McDowell officiating. Interment will follow at Kidd Cemetery in Lawrenceburg, TN.
