The National Weather Service Nashville has confirmed two EF-1 tornadoes touched down during severe storms on March 15.
Survey teams determined the first tornado caused damage in the Bonnertown area. The tornado initially touched down just across the state line in Lexington before crossing into Lawrence County and later lifting in Giles County near Minor Hill.
A second tornado was confirmed in the Mount Pleasant and Columbia areas. The tornado began along Highway 43 in Mount Pleasant and traveled a little more than 16 miles before lifting just before reaching Spring Hill.
