Lawrence County Election Commission to Meet March 16

The Lawrence County Election Commission will meet at 9:00 AM Monday, March 16, 2026, at the Election Office, 702 Mahr Ave., to review voter registrations for the quarter. The commission will review the ballot for the May 5, 2026, Republican Primary and lock and seal Absentee Ballot Boxes and Provisional Ballot Bags. Early Voting for the primary will run April 15–30, 2026. Additional election business may also be discussed.

Guest speaker Shelton Barnett, EMA Director, will present on Emergency and Contingency Plans for Early Voting and Election Day. Citizens interested in speaking at the meeting should contact the Election Office at 931-762-7836.
