The Lawrenceburg City Council met Thursday, March 12.
Among the items on the agenda was Ordinance No. 1449, which would rezone approximately 23 acres of CSR-owned property just north of the intersection of Good Hope Road and US 43 North. The land, currently zoned C-3 Commercial, is proposed to change to R-4 High-Density Residential, following a recommendation from the Planning Commission.
The council also considered funding appropriations to local non-profit organizations for the 2026–2027 fiscal year.
The meeting concluded in less than 10 minutes, with all agenda items approved. City Administrator Dick McKinley reported that Battalion Chief Brian Green has left the Lawrenceburg Fire Department to accept a job in the private sector. He also announced that former Captain Adam Hamilton has been promoted to Battalion Chief and Casey Dixon is the department’s newest captain.
