The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development has announced some $200 million in broadband funding earmarked to close digital divides across the state.  The state is investing the funds through the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment program with a goal of ensuring every Tennessean has access to reliable, high-speed broadband by 2028.  Loretto Telephone Company has been awarded more than $2 million in funding.  Amazon Leo and ZiTEL, serving parts of Lawrence County, have been awarded funding, as well.
