Maryland Man Charged In Limestone Child Exploitation Case

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported Thursday that a multi-agency investigation had led to an arrest in connection with a child exploitation case.  They had been tipped off to the situation in January by a School Resource Officer.  They were joined in the investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Internet Crimes Against Child Task Force and the FBI’s Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force.  Donald Bernard Mewhort, Sr., age 42, of Lexington Park, Maryland was subsequently arrested on for sexual exploitation of children, coercion and enticement of a minor and transfer of obscene matter to a minor.
