State Rep. Kip Capley of Summertown announced that $648,333 in grant funding has been awarded to agricultural businesses in Maury and Wayne counties.
The grants are administered by the Tennessee Department of Agriculture through the Agriculture Enterprise Fund (AEF), a cost-share program that supports economic development and job creation for agricultural, food, and forestry businesses.
Recipients include:
$16,199 to Old Stone Creamery in Maury County
$499,000 to meat processor Hayden Stults in Wayne County
$133,134 to Wayne Farmers Co-Op in Wayne County
Capley said the funding “will be critical to supporting and expanding their operations while further growing our region’s economy.”
The AEF program has awarded nearly $23 million to businesses across Tennessee since 2018. The next application deadline is April 10, 2026.
Rep. Capley represents District 71, which includes Wayne and parts of Hardin, Lawrence, and Maury counties.
