In the month of February, the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,087 calls for service. Those proactive and reactive calls resulted in 311 total arrests.
At a glance for February 2026, deputies conducted 167 traffic stops and responded to 22 crashes. There was 1 SWAT deployment and 1 Taser deployment during the month.
Additional activity included 397 civil processes served, 31 funeral escorts, and 18 mental transports. Deputies also responded to 16 domestic violence calls, 10 vandalism reports, 24 burglar alarms, 9 thefts, 12 fraud cases, and 7 suicide attempts.
The Sheriff’s Office handled 53 animal calls, 24 suspicious persons/activity reports, and assisted 23 motorists.
