Lauderdale County Man Dies In Police Pursuit

Lauderdale County Sheriff’s deputies investigating reports of a man with active warrants and a stolen vehicle report that the man was found deceased after fleeing in the vehicle, leading them on a foot chase, and jumping into a large pond.  They report that the man attempted to strike deputies with the vehicle as he fled and was subsequently fired upon.  As is protocol, the Alabama Bureau of Investigation has been tasked with investigating the matter.
