Athens Man Arrested on Cybercrimes

An Athens man arrested on cyber crimes involving the exploitation of a Louisiana juvenile victim has been transported to face numerous felony charges.  The investigation, a joint operation by the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office, Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office and FBI Birmingham Field Office, resulted in the arrest of 24-year-old Landen Westfall, who allegedly coerced the teen into sending him explicit pictures and encouraged her to harm herself.  Officials say the two initially interacted online while playing Roblox.  Westfall faces 261 counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, 15 counts of pornography involving a juvenile and 2 counts of criminal assistance to suicide.
