Elizabeth “Polly” Brown

Elizabeth “Polly” Brown, lovingly known as “Doe Doe“, age 90, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026, peacefully at her residence. She was a native of Lawrenceburg, TN, completed her nursing training in 1970 and provided compassionate care in nursing for 35 years retiring from NHC Healthcare, Scott. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, cooking, tending to her flowers, and most of all spoiling her grandkids. 

She was preceded in death by her mother, Ettie Mae Belew Hardwick; two sons, Virgil Don “Donnie” Brown and Laurence Anthony “Tony” Brown; and son–in–law, Daniel A. Wenner. 

She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Brown Wenner of Lawrenceburg, TN; one sister, Ann Katherine Hite; one brother, Bobby Rex Butler; one daughter–in–law, Freda Cain of Toney, AL; five grandchildren, Jeremy Brown (Jodi) of New Market, AL, Laura Hardy (Allan) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Leanna Dever (Craig) of Nolensville, TN, Chris Paley (Jennifer) of Ethridge, TN, and Jay Jakes of Mt. Pleasant, TN; fourteen great–grandchildren, Blaine Brown (Sara), Sierra Brown, Jaycie Jakes, Dahlia Jakes, Jacob Stanfill, Samantha Stanfill, Hunter Hardy, Ethan Hardy, Jack Dever, Lane Dever, Dylan Dever, Layla Dever, Garryck Paley, and Foster Paley; and three great–great grandchildren, Isabella Brown, Sawyer Brown, and Clara Elaine Hill. 

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2026, Ethridge First Baptist Church, 206 Walnut Ave, Ethridge, TN. A memorial service will be conducted at Ethridge First Baptist Church at 5:00 PM Sunday, February 22, 2026, with Chad Moore officiating.
