Bomb Threat at Muscle Shoals Middle School Deemed Not Credible

On Wednesday, February 18, at approximately 2:55 p.m., the Muscle Shoals Police Department was notified of a bomb threat at Muscle Shoals Middle School. The threat was called directly to Colbert County 911 and transferred to the police department.

Muscle Shoals Police, Fire, and EMS responded promptly. School administrators and staff began evacuating students safely, and MSPD personnel conducted a thorough search of the building, which was cleared and deemed safe.

Detectives traced the call to juveniles inside the city of Muscle Shoals. After interviews with the students and their parents, authorities determined the threat was not credible, though the investigation remains open as additional interviews continue.

The Muscle Shoals Police Department thanked parents, students, and school staff for their cooperation during the incident and emphasized that the matter is being taken seriously.
