Members of the Lawrenceburg Rotary Club were recognized on February 13, 2026 for their outstanding support of The Rotary Foundation, the charitable arm of Rotary International.

Shawn Chapman was honored as a Paul Harris Fellow in recognition of his generous financial contributions and commitment to Rotary’s humanitarian mission. The Paul Harris Fellow recognition acknowledges individuals who contribute, or have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 or more to The Rotary Foundation. The award is named in honor of Rotary’s founder, Paul Harris, and reflects a dedication to “Service Above Self.”

Ed Trimmer was recognized as a Sixth Level Paul Harris Fellow, marking an extraordinary level of sustained giving to The Rotary Foundation. Multiple Paul Harris Fellow recognitions signify continued support that enables Rotary to fund life-changing projects both locally and around the world.

Through contributions to The Rotary Foundation, Rotary clubs support initiatives such as clean water projects, literacy programs, disaster response, maternal and child health efforts, and the global campaign to eradicate polio. These efforts exemplify Rotary’s long-standing commitment to improving lives and strengthening communities.

Club leaders expressed appreciation to Chapman and Trimmer for their generosity and dedication, noting that their continued support helps extend Rotary’s reach far beyond Lawrence County.

The Lawrenceburg Rotary Club remains committed to advancing service projects that benefit the local community while also supporting Rotary’s international humanitarian efforts.
