The National Weather Service Nashville reports that the Lawrenceburg NOAA Weather Radio transmitter, broadcasting on 162.425 MHz, has been off the air since late January.
Residents are advised to follow local media and commercial radio for severe weather updates. Backup NOAA Weather Radio transmitters include Centerville (162.450 MHz, channel 3) and Clifton (162.500 MHz, channel 5).
Officials caution that not all backup transmitters may provide alerts for Lawrence County, so residents should remain vigilant during the ongoing outage.
The National Weather Service thanks the public for their patience and apologizes for any inconvenience caused.
