Leoma Fire Department Pre-Plans Response at Local Resort

Members of the Leoma Fire Department conducted a pre-incident planning exercise Tuesday night at Keestone Resort, located within the department’s primary coverage area.

The large, multi-story facility presents unique response considerations due to its size and layout. During the visit, firefighters reviewed the building’s fire alarm, sprinkler and elevator systems.

Crews also took measurements to assist with developing hose deployment plans for large structures and conducted training on apparatus positioning and supplying the facility’s sprinkler system.

Department officials said the pre-plan is part of ongoing efforts to improve preparedness and response capabilities at major structures throughout the community.
