Qualifying Deadline for May 5 Primary is Feb. 19

The qualifying deadline for the May 5 State and County Primary Election is fast approaching. Seats that will appear on the Lawrence County ballot include County Executive, County Commission seats for Districts 1 through 18, seats on the School Board for Districts 2, 3, 5, 6 and 9, Constables for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts, Sheriff, Trustee, County Clerk, Register of Deeds, Circuit Court Clerk and Road Superintendent.  Qualifying petitions are available at the Lawrence County Election Commission on Mahr Avenue.  The qualifying deadline is noon on Thursday, February 19.
