Lawrence County Schools Partners With Toys for Tots Literacy Program

For the second year, Toys for Tots Lawrence County is partnering with Lawrence County Schools for its annual Literacy Drive.  The Literacy Program is a year-round initiative to enhance reading and communications skills for economically disadvantaged children, by providing them direct access to books and educational resources.   All eight of Lawrence County’s elementary campuses are collecting new and gently used books during the month of February to put more books into the hands of students and the community.  The school that collects the most books will earn an ice cream treat during recess.
