Concerns of Hostage Situation at Ardmore High Unfounded

Concerns over a possible hostage situation at Ardmore High School Wednesday were soon proven to be unfounded.  School administration received a call around 8:40 that morning from a person claiming to have a gun in one of the school bathrooms.  Lockdown protocols were implemented immediately, and law enforcement conducted a search of the premises.   When a second call came in claiming a hostage situation, school and law enforcement officials were able to determine that it was a hoax.  To be safe, a second search of the premises was conducted before employees and students were allowed to resume their normal activities.
