Willa Dean Trapp Hamby

Willa Dean Trapp Hamby, age 95, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Monday, February 2, 2026, at her residence.  She was a native of AL, and retired LPN at the old Donelson Hospital where she took care of patients after surgery in the recovery room.  She was also a member of Pulaski Street Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin F. and Mattie L. Harris Trapp; her husband, George O. Hamby; one daughter, Sheila Hamby; one son, Robin Hamby; and one sister.

She is survived by one daughter, Regina Jernigan; three sons, Randy Hamby (Rose-Ellen), Ronnie Hamby, and Roger Hamby; eight grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 10:00 AM Friday, February 6, 2026, with Jacob Evans officiating. Interment will follow at Fall River Cemetery in Leoma, TN.
