Lawrence County Sheriff Reports January Activity

The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office responded to 1,108 calls in January, resulting in 207 arrests. Officers handled 306 civil processes, 29 funeral escorts, 8 mental health transports, and 26 domestic violence incidents. Other calls included 6 vandalism reports, 24 burglar alarms, 10 thefts, 9 suicide attempts, 14 fraud cases, 63 animal calls, 22 reports of suspicious activity, and 25 motorist assists.

Traffic enforcement included 135 stops and 33 crashes. No SWAT or Taser deployments were reported during the month.
