Joseph Matthew Simpson, age 74, of Lawrenceburg, TN passed away Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Southern TN Regional Health System in Lawrenceburg, TN. He was a native of Westpoint, TN, retired from Murray Ohio, former Medride Driver, and a member of West Gaines Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Whitney and Judith Marie Welch Simpson; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bentley Simpson of Lawrenceburg, TN; one son, Steven Simpson (Melanie) of Lawrenceburg, TN; two daughters, Pamela Simpson Hardison (Jeffery) of Killen, AL and Hannah Bentley Simpson of Giles County, TN,; three sisters, Mary Wilson of Lawrenceburg, TN, Alice Christmon of Chicago, IL, and Frances Jones of Lawrenceburg, TN; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
