The Tennessee Highway Patrol will conduct sobriety checkpoints Friday, February 6, in Bedford and Wayne counties as part of ongoing enforcement efforts aimed at impaired driving.
In Bedford County, a checkpoint is scheduled on State Route 82 South at mile marker 6.5. In Wayne County, troopers will operate a checkpoint on U.S. Highway 64 at the Hardin County line.
The checkpoints are designed to deter impaired driving and to identify motorists driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, designate a sober driver, and obey all traffic laws.
